Kyla is a girl after my own heart. She loves to play in my closet and always goes after the shiny, sparkly shoes. She also loves to pull the clothes off the hangers or play in the fabric that hangs down from a dress or something. She's a real fashionista, my girl!

Kyla had a lovely first Easter that included her very own personalized Easter basket (thank you Gibbons family!). We filled it with a card, books, bunny ears, plastic eggs and a teething ring - but of course she wanted the plastic grass inside. We put her bunny ears on right away and I just couldn't stop kissing her she looked so cute!
Tried to have an Easter egg hunt, but finding eggs and putting them in a basket wasn't her cup of tea (maybe next year). Although she thought I did a great job finding them! I did learn something new today - the dye on the Easter eggs comes off when your child put it in her mouth - ewwww!

I love this picture of Kyla and John with the morning light shining so perfectly. Kyla loves her daddy and gets excited when he cuddles her in the morning before he leaves for work and again when he gets home.

Playing With The Leaves

Another gorgeous day in Austin and we took advantage of it by playing in the front yard. Kyla still has a thing against crawling on the lawn (doesn't like the feel of it under her hands), but she LOVES to play with the leaves. She also likes to put them in her mouth - so we have to watch her closely.
Naughty Girl
Poor Gimu - all he wants to do is lay in the morning sun, but Kyla just won't leave him alone. She basically pounces on the poor guy and he's a bit slowing in moving. As you can see, she pretty much stands on the poor kitty. I got in two pictures, before I had to rescue him. Most of the time, we have to put Gimu on the other side of the gate because in defending himself, he ends up scratching Kyla. Not that she cares - she just looks at me with that "naughty" face and keeps right on attacking Gimes, scratches or not.
