Mini-Me

Guess Dylan looked like Kyla's baby, so she tucked them next to each other.  Couldn't have planned the outfits better!  Then of course Kyla and her #1 baby had to join the fun on the playmat.

Zilker Park

Wednesday, March 18, 2009

We had so much fun at Zilker Park yesterday with Kyla's friend Aidric, Miss Staci and Juliet.  The kids had a blast playing on the fire engine and all the equipment, but Staci and I were stressed out by the openness of the park and multitude of kids off for Spring Break.  It was tough to keep track of Kyla and Aidric AND take care of our little ones and strollers.

Day With Sophie

Kyla's BFF Sophie was over one afternoon and the weather was so nice, they played outside.  And this is what they decided to do for entertainment - read books over in the pool filter area!  Guess it makes a good seat and book holder.

Then inside for some fun in Kyla's tent and tunnel.

Deer In the Headlights

Friday, March 13, 2009

So I'm trying to get more pictures of Dylan on the blog (yes, I got the hint), but they all make my super cute boy look like a deer in the headlights.  He was smiling and gurgling on the blanket and the minute the flash goes off, he gets that "look"

Case In Point
Almost Caught A Smile

First Hair Cut

Ok, so Kyla didn't really "need" a haircut, but she had a few long straggly pieces in the middle of her head in the back that just had to go.  I also trimmed a bit at the bottom to make it more even.  Hard to tell in the pictures, but it looks more healthy now and best of all, her curls are even springier! :)

p.s. yes, I did keep a few clippings for her baby book, **sigh** by baby is getting so big!

After - looking much healthier

"Mo-Mo" Sticks

Thursday, March 12, 2009

Miss Personality has a new obsession - lying down next to anything (friends, animals, her brother) or on anything (bathtub, blankets, grass) etc.  This weekend she decided that the mulch at the playground would be a great place to lay down and check out world.  But then she started covering herself in mulch.  Apparently she didn't think she had done an adequate job as started signing for me to "help."  I put a few bits on her, but she kept saying "mo-mo sic" (more-more sticks).  So here she is a picture of my little princess covered in sticks.  Before you think she's all tomboy, I was wearing her long "pearl" necklace (she insisted on wearing to the park) because it kept getting in the way.  She requested back as soon as we left. :)

Dylan at 2 Months

Friday, March 6, 2009

Our little chunky monkey is growing fast and already has yummy chubby thighs!  Here are his stats from 2/27/09 appointment

Weight:  13lbs 13oz (yes, you read that right!  He's off the charts in weight)
Height:  23-1/2" (65-75th percentile)
Head:  41cm (75th percentile)

D-Man is also starting to sleep for longer stretches, up to 9 hours the other night. Yay! Unfortunately, he's had a lot of congestion the last month or so.  We've taken him to the doctor multiple times and it looks like he has a little cold that's lingering, but that it could also be from reflux.  For now, the pediatrician wants us to add a bit of rice cereal to his formula to help it stay down in his stomach instead of coming back up his esophagus.  If that doesn't work, we'll move to medicine. Hopefully, it'll clear up soon because it always sounds like he's purring, poor thing.

Boca, Here I Come!

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

My girl just cracks me up!  These photos remind me of some retiree in Boca with her hat, hand bag and cocktail heading for "Bingo Night" in the lounge!  The first one could not be funnier!!
