Kyla is getting to be such a big girl! She has started smiling and laughing (finally caught it on film), but she is also finding her "voice". She's now doing a kind of "uh, um, ah" sounds when she is looking at something interesting to her. She sometimes varies the pitch or puts a few sounds together. It's very cute and makes us wonder what she is trying to communicate. Of course most of things she's finds interesting are the armoire leg, people's faces and her all time favorite thin air (remember the movie "Sixth Sense" - yes our baby girl sees dead people).
Kyla has also learned to hold her pacifier in her mouth. I guess the continual sucking to keep the thing in while she's trying to fall asleep gets tiring, so she now holds it with her hand (see pictures above). The handle on the back is perfect for her to get her fingers and thumb around. Can you say brilliant!!
